After a lengthy career in Advertising and as a Franchisee for a popular sandwich chain, Lana became a stay at home mom to her two young children. Excited to begin a new chapter in her life, she pursued her dream to become a Realtor. I grew up in Lake Bluff, Illinois. My father was in the Navy and stationed at Great Lakes. If you have gone to boot camp in Illinois, you will know how cold it is.
Where did you go to college?
I moved to San Diego from Illinois to go to Point Loma University. I was a liberal studies major and received my teaching credential from Point Loma. I also attended San Diego State University to get a couple of special education credentials. A few years later I went to school for my MBA in school administration.
Why did you get into real estate?
I have been in the field of education for 30 years. When I retired, I decided that I wanted to do something that would still impact families in a positive way. It is so exciting when you see in a buyer’s eyes that look that says, “I found the home of my dreams.” Being there for sellers as they move from one chapter to the next is also a rewarding experience. I appreciate those that entrust this journey with me.
The personal stuff …….
I am married to my husband Michael. We have two children, Cristina and Tyler. Cristina graduated from San Diego State University and is also a real estate agent with United. Tyler goes to college at San Diego Christian College. He is majoring in business management. We were blessed with our first grandchild in 2017. Liam will be two in March and loves trucks and balls and building things with his grandpa. Our furry family consists of two dogs and three cats. Each with their unique personality and full of love.

Prior to working in real estate, Christine worked in management, customer service, and project implementation positions at the County of San Diego/Department of Child Support Services and Elevate (formerly Essential Learning). Christine received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a specialization in teaching education at the University of California, San Diego.
Christine Fitzgerald is married to John and has two sons, Ryan and Andrew. She is a Southern California native and proudly resides in the Bridlewood Lakeside community in Poway. She loves hiking the local trails of Lake Poway or Mt. Woodson, watching her boys play Poway lacrosse, dancing & singing with girlfriends, and date nights with John. She enjoys managing home projects which have included multiple pool and backyard remodels, master bedroom & bathroom updates, and hopes to soon improve their kitchen and flooring! Christine loves to travel with family and friends. When international travel restrictions allow, Costa Rica, Playa Del Carmen Mexico, and Ireland on top of the list!

I grew up in two places…Hermosa Beach until I was 9, and then Visalia, CA until I graduated from High School.
Where did you go to college?
I moved down to San Diego to go to UCSD. That was a few years ago! I majored in Psychology and also did concentrated studies in Math and Organic Chemistry. Then I completed an MBA program at Point Loma Nazarene University.
Why did you get into real estate?
I chose real estate when I realized how I could make a big difference in the industry. It doesn’t take much to get a real estate license. But it takes work to be good at this business. People need an advocate, a guide, and a trusted advisor, and I really like being all three. Plus, I've always loved real estate. My mom was in real estate for a few years, and I would always read her MLS books to study all of the properties that were for sale, in escrow, and sold. She would always say to me, "Don't tell anyone you're looking at that!"
What is your favorite San Diego beach?
We love to go to Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach. It’s a little further away, but it’s worth it. Quiet, mostly locals, and Pizza Port is within walking distance!

I've been married to Kristin since 1997. We have two boys, Kyle and Keaton. Kyle is in high school and Keaton is in elementary school. We live in Fletcher Hills.
How are you involved in the community?
I’m president of the Board of Education of the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District. I’m also a sponsor of Autism Speaks locally.
If someone on the street asked you for your best piece of real estate advice, what would it be?
There are a lot of ways to save money in real estate, but one of them is NOT trying to find someone who can sell your house for less. You get what you pay for in this business. Any agent willing to discount their fees to you will also discount their service to you as well. Don’t go it alone, either. Having an agent involved in the transaction is insurance against something going wrong. Because when it does, it’s all on you if you don’t have an agent. That’s why I’m here.
